About Us

Welcome to the wonderful world of volleyball!

We are Teacher Interns at the University of Lethbridge and our names are Sydney Milligan and Devyn Meier. As PSIII Teacher Interns we are required to work on a project that we think is important and interesting to further our research and development as educators. Quickly after discussing our potential research projects, we decided to collaborate with one another in hopes of supporting, analyzing and comparing our coaching experiences.

Both of us played women's volleyball growing up in both the school and club setting. Our experience comes from playing for different levels, teams, countries and organizations. Devyn, played Division 1 volleyball at MVSU on a full-ride scholarship after high school before continuing her volleyball and education career back in Canada. We have both coached some High School, Club, and Middle/Junior High teams. In the most recent season, Sydney coached her team to win the championship and banner in the 2018, 4J South Zones. Though most of our experience comes through being involved in women's volleyball, we have each been around a men's team or assistant coached for one. 

We have chosen to create this website to help further our knowledge and experience as coaches, all while creating a resource for volleyball coaches, new and experienced. Our initial question that lead to the creation of this website was simply:
